Episode 1 - The Last Chance
The S Clubber's become fed up with their misfortune and give themselves 24 hours to find a manager or else S Club 7 will cease to exist. Jon comes up with an insane plan which involves them all going off in different groups in hope of stumbling upon fame and fortune. Jon and Hannah go off to find out what success smells like. Bradley and Jo head on over to Mystic Pete's, a hippie-esque George Carlin-look alike who tells them the secret of success lies where the big silver birds go to die. Paul, Rachel and Tina roam the streets, trying to cause attention, in the hopes of getting noticed. In a nearby office, unsuccessful manager Dean Strickland is warned by his boss that he's getting one last chance to find talent, and he has 24 hours to do it or he will be let go. As Dean leaves his office, he is mugged by a street walker who grabs his watch and runs with it. A few blocks away, in the mugger's path, Tina begins to ballet dance around a street corner and in a last bid of hope, shows off her ballet kicking skills. In her last and highest kick, she nails the mugger in the face just as he runs past, knocking him out cold. Dean runs over to retrieve his watch and is introduced to the 3 s clubbers who saved his priceless heirloom from being stolen. In return, he gives them his business card, which is unknowingly dropped by Paul on the way home. Out of luck again, the S Clubbers take one last trek down to Mystic Pete's and run into Dean walking out of the booth - they compare their predictions and realize they're both headed for the place where big silver birds go to die; Dean can only think of one place that Pete means, an old airplane cemetery outside of LA. They all drive down there and by the time they arrive, they are well acquainted and Paul finally realizes the Dean they've driven with is the Dean they met in the afternoon. After a bit of persuasion with a last minute countdown tactic by Jon, Dean agrees to represent them and gives them a record deal. Is the future going to be fame and fortune... or flops and failure?
